Summer may be over but we’re bringing back everyone’s favourite man-eating shark to celebrate the launch of the new graphic novel, Boy vs. Shark!

Toronto cartoonist Paul Gilligan (Pooch Café) will be onsite to discuss his hilarious graphic memoir for young readers, about his boyhood and troubled relationship with a shark (film) named Jaws. You’ll also have a chance to purchase your own copy from Ella Minnow Children’s Bookstore!

We’ll be following the conversation with a screening of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 classic in which a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community. It’s up to a local police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider), Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) to hunt the beast down and save the summer tourists from certain death.
