Mar Aberto SoundSystem blends dub reggae, funk and classic MPB with Brazilian rhythms like maracatu, samba, coco, ciranda and Afro grooves. One of the stage group manifestations of Maracatu Mar Aberto, this band builds on the percussion repertoire, layering dubby horns, funky bass, skankin guitars and vocals atop Brazilian grooves.

DJ Nuner plays to the environment and the crowd, often found dropping anything from rare disco from the 70s to new wave from the 80s to classic old-school hip-hop from the 90s, weaving tracks seamlessly and mixing genres that one would not expect to complement each other
