Indigenous Storytelling Gathering
The 2018 Toronto Storytelling Festival is proud to work with Native Canadian Centre of Toronto and the Centre of Indigenous Studies to welcome three great Indigenous storytellers. Sharon Shorty and Duane Gastant'Aucoin are coming from the Yukon to present their hilarious comedy duo "Gramma Shorty and Cash Creek Charlie". Metis storyteller and oral historian Ron Evans will be bringing his traditional stories of humour, wisdom, and history. We invite you to the Native Canadian Centre for a night of family storytelling on Wednesday, March 21, 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
Our host is local comedian and activist Denise Booth-McLeod, from the group Manifest Destiny's Child. FREE! No reservations needed. Wheelchair-accessible. Please visit www.torontostorytellingfestival.ca for information about the festival. The Toronto Storytelling Festival runs March 2-4 and March 19-25.
