IMPULSE 2015
Catch the students in the Professional Training Program at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre performing in an exciting and unique winter production; IMPULSE 2015.
The upcoming main-stage performance of ensemble works include an ambitious collection of exciting new works as well as renowned remounts:
Our first year students have been with us since September and will present a remount of Julia Sasso's dynamic and challenging Ripple, originally created for the School in 1995.
The second year students will premiere a new work by Apolonia Velasquez, Co-Artistic Director of the acclaimed Toronto urban dance company Gadfly. They will also perform a commissioned work by the eminent Montreal choreographer Marc Boivin, whose past works for the School have been much admired.
Our third year students will perform a revival of Danny Grossman's political satire, National Spirit, an engaging and humorous look at ultra-patriotism. Additionally, they will appear in a new work by our distinguished alumnus Louis Laberge-Côté, recent winner of our Kathryn Ash Choreographic Commission.
IMPULSE 2015 runs from November 26-28 and December 3-5 at 8pm at Winchester Street Theatre (80 Winchester Street).
