Jackie tags along as a small-time con man who learns more about the lieutenant than he bargained for. “If it sounds ridiculous, that’s only because it was,” wrote Jackie of this film in his 1998 memoir. So how did Hong Kong’s biggest movie star find himself in a Taiwanese exploitation film? The answer: he owed a big favour to Jimmy Wang Yu, a well-connected man who helped him get out of a tricky underworld dispute.
