Get ready to step into a world of art like you've never seen before. “SHE IS WOMAN,” the highly anticipated immersive art experience, is coming to 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media and Education on Saturday, May 6th, 2023.

Hosted and curated by Nigel Birch, Writer, Poet, and Founder of Every Day is Valentine’s Day, this unique event offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to: explore, and highlight the accomplishments of black women, as well as challenge stereotypes and promote positive images of black women using, art of course!

The multi-talented guest artist's works capture the inner essence of the BLACK woman. To intensify the immersive experience, guests will be transported into a world of stunning visuals, and once they have scanned a QR code, it will give them access to the intoxicating words of Nigel Birch. His poetry illustrates a perspective of love in a way that will inspire and move the listeners.

“SHE IS WOMAN” features works by some of the most innovative artists from the GTA, including: Samantha Dennis, Marc Julian Periquet, Simone Patricia, Mayah Boateng, Natasha N, Angie Kamal, Nadia, and Dion Fitzgerald. To capture our music lovers, we have The Alchemist of Sound DJ Steph Honey, a musical artist who finds and presents sounds that transport the listener into a world of pleasure they know they want, but which only she can deliver.

From light and shadow work, to acrylic and mixed media, the art on display at “SHE IS WOMAN,” is sure to captivate and inspire.
