Move over Kieran, Christmas is Macaulay’s turf! Cheer on your fave 90s child star as he outwits the nefarious Wet Bandits in a series of genius Rube Goldberg-inspired hijinks. Paint cans and hot irons swing from ropes and collide with noggins, blowtorches singe scalps, palms are scorched by red hot doorknobs, staircases are iced, and of course there’s the old nail-through-the-foot gag. It never gets old! What’s more, the all-star cast still delivers: Catherine O’Hara, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and John Heard are gold. A debt of gratitude to the late John Hughes for the hardy holiday laughs.
