Join MOCA Toronto at the Paradise Theatre for the 4th Kamias Triennial (KT4) on Saturday July 13, at 2 pm. The screening program, “Sasalubong” (Tagalog for “will meet,” or “will welcome”), projects a future-oriented and hopeful perspective. KT4’s thematic thread involves identity formation, evident in the short video and film works.

KT4 takes up the multiplicities of long-distance concepts and practices, examining how they shape and reshape connections among individuals and their environments.

Kamias Triennial (KT) is an itinerant and collectively curated event with roots in Asia and Canada. It was founded in 2014 and the first three iterations (in 2014, 2017, and 2020) took place in Manila, Philippines. KT positions itself within a globalized art world through sustained relationships, its intimate scale, and intersectional conversations.
