If you are looking for a magical night of music, Saturday August 22nd at the Linsmore Tavern as Godboogie will be in the house for some serious boogie! Godboogie played earlier this May to a sold out crowd and the response for that show was so overwhelming, that we had to bring them back for another one! If you are looking for star power and credentials it's going to be tough to match this band, as the Jerome Godboo band features Greg Godovitz, Chris Burgess, Gary Craig and of course Jerome Godboo!

Jerome Godboo An accomplished and exceptional blues man, his bending harp skills have been sought by everyone from Ronnie Hawkins to the late Jeff Healey and he continues to mesmerize all who witness him onstage including the judges at the International blues Challenge 2014 held in Memphis where Jerome took home the Lee Oskar best harmonica Player award. The one-time local legend of explosive 90s rock band the Phantoms, Jerome has released 14 albums in his 25-plus year career, 11 of which are solo, including the brand new Sanctuary City with drummer Gary Craig and Spin Doctors guitarist Eric Schenkman. He's headlined at the Montreal Jazz Festival (2005), played Toronto’s Air Canada Centre with Ronnie Hawkins, opened for the Yardbirds and performed on stages across Canada, the U.S., France, Finland, Portugal, Ukraine, Israel and beyond. He's played with Prince, Pinetop Perkins, James Cotton, the Tragically Hip, Levon Helm, Billy Ray Cyrus and many more, and recorded and toured with the likes of Alannah Myles, Dutch Mason, Jeff Healey, Jimmy Bowskill and Suzie McNeil.

Greg Godovitz is the founder and bass player for one of Canada's most successful rock bands, Goddo! Goddo was a staple on Canadian radio stations through the mid 1970's to the early 80's with hits such as "Louie Louie", "Under My Hat", and "Pretty Bad Boy". Goddo has recorded eleven (11) albums of eclectic hard edged rock and roll. Goddo continues these days with the original lineup after 37 years.

Chris Burgess is a guitar legend among the Blues community in Canada! He played guitar with legendary Bluesman Paul Reddick and will be bringing his guitar virtuosity to Godboogie!

Drummer Gary Craig of Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and Bruce Cockburn recorded on Jerome's latest Sanctuary city cd. Gary's list of recording and performance credits include Bruce Cockburn, Anne Murray, Jann Arden, Tom Cochrane, Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, Colin Linden, John McDermott, Kathleen Edwards and Gregory Hoskins. Independent recording credits include Jimmy Rankin, Jenn Grant, Jadea Kelly, Scarlett Jane, Suzie Vinnick, Ariana Gillis, Dala, Justin Rutledge and Paul Reddick to name a few. He is also actively working in Toronto w Jerome Godboo, award winning harmonica player as part of the Toronto blues scene with Eric Schenkman from the Spin Doctors and Shawn Kellerman from the Lucky Peterson Band. Gary has been recording recently in Nashville with Juno award winning producer Steve Dawson and toured last year w Bruce Cockburn and the stars of the ABC network television series Nashville.
