TORONTO, ON, October 11, 2024 - In celebration of National Gin & Tonic Day on October 19, Ficoa and Valley of Mother of God Gin are teaming up to create an unforgettable event: An epic gin and tonic bar battle starting at 6PM on October 16. This is the perfect lead-up to the holiday, giving guests a chance to celebrate early. For the first time, Ficoa will host an in-house competition where mixologists will go head-to-head to claim the title of Best G&T.

Known for its upscale, Mexican-inspired fine dining, Ficoa’s menu draws from Toronto’s cultural diversity and Ontario’s micro seasons. With a focus on sustainability and advanced techniques like fermentation and dry aging, chef Gerry Quintero creates seasonal menus that maximize every ingredient’s potential. This same passion will be showcased during the bar battle as mixologists compete to claim the title of Best G&T.

The lineup for the battle is strong, including top Toronto mixologists Steven Tseng (W Hotel), Horacio Aguilar and Stephen Luo. For $35 per person plus taxes, guests will sip on each bartender’s unique take on the classic cocktail, all featuring Valley of Mother of God Gin, paired with inventive snacks from chef Gerry Quintero.
