Like a real-life version of The Gods Must Be Crazy, this warm and uplifting doc provides a fresh take on our “civilized” lifestyle. Follow four Ju/’Hoansi on their journey from their home in the Kalahari Desert to urban Europe. For generations, the Ju/’Hoansi hunted on the open savannah in northeast Namibia—but that all began to change in 1990 when such hunting was outlawed. Now, they are venturing out across national and cultural borders, and flipping assumptions and relationships in the process. The observed become the observers in this delightful and expectation-defying doc.
