Named franco-ontarian musical discovery of 2014 by Radio-Canada's Grands Lacs Caf, bilingual folk music duo Georgian Bays sound is a soothing blend of freshness and warmth. The voices of Kelly Lefaive and Jolle Westman intertwine with the soul of the violin and the heartbeat of the guitar to create an enchanting musical landscape brought to life by a rich variety of musical instruments. In 2015 this sound was heard at the Shelter Valley Folk Festival, Sudbury's La nuit mergente, and on the train from Montreal to Halifax as VIA Rail Artists on Board. From their beginnings in jazz performance at the University of Toronto to their joyful first album, Horizons 2014, this duo is now looking forward to their forthcoming 2016 EP release, Patience.
