This Friday 13th, we are honoring the feminine forces through music and dance. Join us for an intimate session of musical delights at Alternity orchestrated by women sharing some tribal deep rhythms.

This entire week is about honoring the goddesses, the feminine, the mothers, the sisters. We invite you to celebrate beauty in sounds and movements.

A part of the tickets sale will go to support the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC).

About Friday 13th....

Before patriarchal times Friday the 13th was considered the day of the Goddess, it was dedicated to worshiping the feminine energy that lives in all women and men, and to honor the cycles of creation, death and rebirth. This date was considered a very powerful day to manifest, honor creativity and to celebrate beauty, wisdom and nourishment of the soul.

About the Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC):

Founded on the collective goal to enhance, promote, and foster the social, economic, cultural and political well-being of First Nations and Métis women within First Nation, Métis and Canadian societies. NWAC is an aggregate of THIRTEEN Native women’s organizations from across Canada and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1974. Much like a “Grandmother’s Lodge”, we as aunties, mothers, sisters, brothers and relatives collectively recognize, respect, promote, defend and enhance our Native ancestral laws, spiritual beliefs, language and traditions given to us by the Creator.

Through the years, Marie got inspired by different moods, international parties and unique sonorities and it's in 2015 that she started Djing as "Djane Oyossa'', a Forest Trance project created in Montreal.

After Djing Forest Trance for few years, Marie wanted to express a slower, deeper sound with her audience and this is when Djane Mi/Nu was created. Allow yourself to melt away through these harmonic & ethnic influences and experience an array of deep rhythms.
