Fresh Meat
“Fresh Meat” is a one night pop up exhibition curated by Sarah Van Dusen. Please join us on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 6pm-11pm at The Delisle Space. Located on the corner of Delisle Avenue and Yonge Street it’s just steps away from St Clair Subway Station.
Fresh Meat is an exhibition centered around a group of emerging artists whose work focuses on generating a dialogue around the theme of the figure. These up and coming creators work in a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, photography, and jewellery. Throughout this exhibition we will be exploring ideas about how our bodies interact and move through these different mediums, how the physical process of art making is experienced differently by each artist, and ways in which we choose to adorn our bodies with wearable art. Through representational depictions of the figure, Fresh Meat aims to examine ways our individual lenses contribute to contemporary discourses of the figure in art.
This space is not wheelchair accessible.
