Inspired by a wide range of genres and musical artists, the Unicorn Patrol bring together childhood fun and wonder with the pain of growing up.
PONY METAL ORCHESTRA Saturday
Pony Metal Orchestra is a musical collective that seeks to experiment with different genres of music and believes in using music to build friendship and community.
THE OVERTONES Saturday
The Overtones are four 13-year-olds from Toronto, performing songs ranging from pop to alternative rock with some of their own compositions.
DEANNA PETCOFF Sunday
Deanna Petcoff is a member of the band Pins & Needles, as a guitarist and a vocalist. She is a veteran of Girls Rock Camp Toronto and has played venues such as Lee's Palace and The Horseshoe Tavern among others.
D'N'A Sunday
Danae Trejo and Annika Forman are D'N'A, a singer-songwriter duo and former Girls Rock Campers who are striving to put a piece of themselves and their lives into music.
WOMEN WHO ROCK! BINGO Saturday
Do you like all types of popular music? Come play a fun trivia game where you get to test your knowledge of women in music who ROCK! From hip-hop to punk, funk and gospel, learn about some of the women from yesterday and today who practiced hard, innovated, and pioneered against all odds to create cool and interesting sounds.
Girls Rock Camp Toronto offers girls and young women aged 8-16 of all musical abilities and economic backgrounds a safe space to learn an instrument of their choice, while providing strong female mentors and role models, and tools to develop life skills and confidence. Professional musicians act as band coaches and instrument instructors. Fundamental music theory, improvisation, and performance are developed along with communication, patience, empathy and negotiation skills.
