Authentic Dancehall
Join us for a Beginner Dancehall class with Brandon “Bizzy” Owusu! Dancehall is a culture which originated from Jamaica in the late 1970s. Dancehall is a way of life which express one's Past, Present and Future based on imagery through steps. Dancehall is broken down into three sections Old school, Middle school and New school. The Genre is well diverse and is multi-cultural from the different traditional dance in Jamaica. Musicality plays a big impact where people use the rhythm to create steps. The cultural music which evolved from Reggae music has created its own dynamic essence (Parties, Food, and Fashion).
