This crowdpleaser documents the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League seen through the eyes of two bickering sisters (Geena Davis and Lori Petty) recruited from their farm town to play on the Rockford Peaches.

Directed by Penny Marshall and featuring an all-star cast including Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell, and, of course, Tom Hanks, this film is definitely one of the sweetest, most nostalgic and empowering films of the ’90s.
