Ensemble Faenza - A Fabulous Bestiary, a Tribute to Jean de La Fontaine.

Alliance Française Toronto will host Ensemble Faenza on October 17 for an exceptional concert. Under the direction of Marco Horvat, this talented trio, composed of Olga Pitarch (vocals, spinet, castanets), Marco Horvat (vocals, guitar, theorbo), and Francisco Mañalich (vocals, viola da gamba, guitar), will immerse the audience in the fascinating world of La Fontaine’s fables and ancient music.

The ensemble will perform works by Marin Marais, François Campion, Nicolas de Chédeville, Ennemond Gautier, François Couperin, Jacques-Martin Hotteterre, and from the Boerez Manuscript. This is an invitation to discover or rediscover masterpieces of early music through the timeless stories of Jean de La Fontaine.
