Emily Steinwall’s YALA featuring Sage Horsey

An evening of original compositions from two of the city’s most exciting young voices, Emily Steinwall and Mingjia Chen. This is the debut of Steinwall’s newest project as a composer, YALA, a fiery new jazz quartet which weaves together influences as diverse as Alice Coltrane, Joni Mitchell and Esperanza Spalding. The group will be accompanied by the movements of Sage Horsey, a prodigious dancer from Burlington, Vermont.
