Emancipation Day Celebration/Ward Uncovered Reading
Join us and A Different Booklist for an evening to celebrate Emancipation Day. There will be readings from The Ward Uncovered contributors Kathy Grant and Cheryl Thompson, as well as a tribute to the late Judge George Carter – the first black Canadian-born judge in the country – who would have been 97 on August 1st.
