Elephant Song - Toronto Fringe Festival Play

Elephant Song is a play about a government clerk in Mumbai, who after a major tragedy, begins to question the biases, beliefs, and ignorance of the world around him. Using influences from the minimalism of Grotovsky’s poor theatre to portray a hectic maximalist Mumbai, the atmosphere relies heavily on sound. The story is carried along by the sounds of traditional Indian instruments inspired loosely by the qawwali and dastan goi.
