East York Remembrance Day Ceremony

The City of Toronto’s 2018 Remembrance Day Ceremony in East York will commemorate those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the First World War, the Second World War, the Korean War, Peacekeeping and the Afghanistan conflict.

The service will include:
• Opening Remarks from Lily Phillips, Zone D3 Deputy Commander, Royal Canadian Legion
• National Anthem: O Canada
• Last Post
• Two Minutes Silence
• Lament
• Rouse
• Act of Remembrance 
• Commitment to Remember read in French by WO Moreau-Barnard, 631 Sentinel Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron
• Flypast by Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association
• Address from the City of Toronto 
• Hymn to Freedom
• In Flanders Fields read by Cadet Flight Corporal Amelia Kwan, 330 Danforth Tech RCACS
• Prayers led by The Rev. Alex Bisset, Chaplain, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 10
• Wreath laying
• Benediction
• Royal Anthem: God Save The Queen
• March Off

Refreshments will be served in the East York Civic Centre at the conclusion of the service.
