Dwit Hathi is an Indian-born/Toronto-based guitarist and composer, who is currently completing Bachelor of music degree from Humber College. He leads his band, the Dwit Hathi Quintet where he brings his unique compositions and arrangements and brings light to his journey as an explorer through his subtle and captivating melodies. His musical background is a merger between modern, contemporary instrumental music and his south-Asian roots as a student of Indian Classical tradition. His music draws inspiration from the music of Pat Metheny, Zakir Hussain, Julian Lage, Rez Abbasi, and Nir Felder to name a few. Dwit Hathi Quintet plays music written and arranged by Dwit.
