A solemn vow, a silent smile, an outdoor, daytime kiss goodbye...to this BULLSHIT SUMMER.
How is Mercury still in retrograde? How is it cool to be fall-chic in September? How is the Hotel Waverley being smashed to dust? We know how: the aforementioned summer of gar-bage.
So we're saying goodbye! We're saying what Jos Ramn Mart says to Alejandra Ortiz: "Adios chica!" Jose has never said that to his wonderful girlfriend actually, sorry Ale. But the point is we're so mad at summer that we're speaking to it in a dismissive Spanish tone, and we don't even know how to speak Spanish.
YOU CAN COME BE DISMISSIVE IN SPANISH WITH US IF YOU'D LIKE TO. OR IN ENGLISH. IN A GIANT LOT BEHIND THE SOON-TO-BE DEMOLISHED HOTEL WAVERLEY. BIENVENIDOS.
Ya that's right, we don't just say sayonara not Spanish in some event hall like a buncha chumps. We do it in the gd dirt, where the real people are. With picnic tables and basketball. With barbecue and art. With music and snaps. You can smell our farewell and it has an air of sauce, and beer, and tongues and stuff.
Yowza. "Tongues" is a gross word in that context.
Come do that with us. If you care to. If you like tongues in that context, and if you're fond of the other things we mentioned.
