Your favourite Toronto startup event is back! Join us on Thursday, February 18th for a special edition of #DrinksDemos that combines a short film screening with a panel discussion. And of course mingling over beers with the city's best.

THEME: Don't Quit Your Day Job

What compels someone to leave a cushy, corporate job for the high risk world of startups? The appeal is easy to see. But with such a high rate of failure, how do you know if it's worth it? Is there ever a right time? Once you've made the leap, what resources can help keep you afloat? What about Cofounders? Accelerators? Fundraising? The list goes on.

To help answer these questions, we've lined up a special, two-part main event! Here's what's going down:

• 6:30-7:00PM: Mix and mingle (PART I)

• 7:00-8:00PM: Day Job Documentary

To lay the foundation we'll start with a screening of Day Job, a documentary that follows three Canadian entrepreneurs through the ups and downs of starting a company. It explores the personal journey of launching a business and the affect it has on the entrepreneur, their team as well as their family and friends.

• 8:00-8:30PM: Panel Discussion (speakers TBA - stay tuned!)
