Monday July 18th, 2016 (Toronto, ON) – Rap Season is proud to present Denzel Curry at a 19+ event at the Adelaide Hall on Tuesday September 20th.

Denzel Curry is an American rapper from Carol City Florida. Denzel “Aquaris’ Killa,” also known as “Raven Miyagi,” emerged on the underground hip-hop scene with a vintage sound, similar to the Memphis underground scene of the early/ mid 90s. A former member of Spaceghost Purrp’s Raider Klan Collection, the young emcee picked up the pen at age 12 and started making music and art. As a teenager, Denzel attended Miami’s Design & Architecture High School for two years, and designs all of his own artwork.

Denzel started taking music seriously at age 16, releasing his first mix tape, King Remembered Underground Tape 1991- 1995. In 2013, Denzel released his debut album, Nostalgic 64, with features from JK the Reaper, Lil Ugly Mane, Mike G, Nell, Robb Bank$, Stephen A. Clark and Yung Simmi. On March 9th, 2016, Denzel released his second studio album Imperial featuring notable rappers such as Joey Badass and fellow Carol City rapper Rick Ross. In June 2016, Denzel was named to XXL’s Freshmen class of 2016.
