Danceworks presents the world premiere of Jackie Burroughs is Dead and what are you going to do about it

Danceworks presents the world premiere of Jackie Burroughs is Dead (and what are you going to do about it) produced by Danielle Baskerville and choreographed by DA Hoskins as part of Harbourfront Centre’s NextSteps series.

Jackie Burroughs is Dead (and what are you going to do about it) focuses on the light, energy and impulses that drive us following significant loss. Throughout the creative process with choreographer DA Hoskins, Artistic Director of The Dietrich Group, dancers Danielle Baskerville, Luke Garwood and Robert Kingsbury drew upon personal experiences, including the loss of Canadian stage and film actress Jackie Burroughs, who died in 2010. Burroughs was a highly dedicated contemporary dance enthusiast whose enduring presence inspired many dance artists throughout her lifetime. The work explores the power of reaction: how we observe, absorb and ultimately respond.

Thursday April 7 – Saturday April 9, 2016 at 8pm nightly at Harbourfront Centre Theatre in Toronto, 231 Queens Quay West. Tickets: $19 - $37 (Discounts for seniors, students and groups) For tickets, call Harbourfront Centre Box Office at 416-973-4000 OR visit online: https://danceworksblog.wordpress.com/ or http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/nextsteps/danceworks-da-hoskins/.
