Vancouver-based writer Myriam Lacroix and UK-based poet Holly Pester are coming together on the TIFA stage to share the inspirations behind their debut novels. Lacroix’s How It Works Out is a genre-bending, uncanny exploration of queerness and love that offers an interesting look at how a love story can play out in many alternate realities. In The Lodgers, Pester weaves the precariousness of temporary housing with the anxieties of a woman trying to find stable ground as she attempts to reconnect with her mother.
