This exhibition places original artworks by students in 4th Year Indigenous Visual Culture courses at OCAD University alongside curated materials from Toronto Public Library’s Special Collections. This strategy is meant to guide the viewer in rethinking and reimagining their relationship to the materials. It offers a view into how each artist researched and engaged with each material. This work is never disconnected from place, from this land we live on. It necessarily engages with questions of how we meaningfully and ethically work within institutions on Indigenous land.
