The North York Temple Band presents an evening of music with orchestral inspirations. Classical Brass will feature 3 Toronto based artists who will play and sing a broad range of solos accompanied by the brass band. Alessia Disimino, a recent master’s graduate from the University of Toronto, will perform the third movement of Bach’s “Violin Concerto in A minor” as well as the main theme from “Schindler’s List” by John Williams. Yasmeen Alli, currently studying music education at the University of Toronto, will be playing Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Clarinet Concerto”, along with John Rutters simple yet stunning “A Gaelic Blessing”. Katelyn Bird, currently studying Voice at the Glenn Gould School of Music, will sing “Climb Every Mountain” and “Ave Verum”. To round out the evening, the band will perform Themes from Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” and Wagner’s “Elsa’s Processional to the Cathedral.
