Chords for Chordoma
On November 9, 2017 some of North America’s top jazz musicians will gather at the Toronto Centre for the Arts in Toronto for a musical celebration. Gathering along with them, will be Canada’s restructuring and insolvency community taking the opportunity to honour one of their own. The profits from this one-of-a-kind event will fund the quest for a cure for a rare form of cancer called Chordoma.
This will be a wonderful night of music featuring 11 Pan-American artists, including: Jackie Richardson, Memo Acevedo, Pat LaBarbera, Andre Mehmari, Chico Pinheiro, Dave Restivo, Liz Rosa, Reg Schwager, Howie Silverman, Kevin Turcotte, and Dave Young.
Proceeds from this concert will go to funding Chordoma research and the hunt for a cure. Chordoma is an extremely rare skull-based cancer affecting 1 in a million people.
Chords for Chordoma is being co-sponsored by the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, Turnaround Management Association (Toronto chapter) and Annual Review of Insolvency Law. One of their own, Dr. Janis Sarra, will be honoured for her decades of contributions to the Canadian and international insolvency and restructuring community.
