Celebrate the holidays at TIFF Lightbox
From December 14 to 31, TIFF presents programming for all ranges of audiences with special screenings, Sing Alongs, and a 3D series. Special screenings include Bob Clark’s iconic Toronto-shot slasher film Black Christmas (1974), a 25th anniversary New Year’s Eve screening of Stanley Kubrick’s provocative Eyes Wide Shut (1999), and 80th anniversary screenings of Vincente Minnelli’s heartwarming musical Meet Me in St. Louis (1944). Costumes are encouraged at TIFF’s participatory singalong musical events including the chart-topping Encanto (2021), the dazzling The Greatest Showman (2017), and the timeless The Sound of Music (1965). The film series Dimensional Excursions: A Century of Innovation in 3D Cinema includes features and shorts showcasing the playful, innovative, and accessible side of 3D filmmaking.
