Canada Day Parade and Picnic - St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood

CANADA DAY CELEBRATION
The St. Lawrence Neighbourhood Association (SLNA) representing residents of St. Lawrence Neighbourhood is celebrating July 1st with a festival in St. James Park. We start with a parade that will gather in Crombie Park, Sherbourne and The Esplanade at 11:00 am and, with pipers leading the way, move west along the Esplanade to Church, north on Church to King St. and east along King Street to St. James Park and to the gazebo for opening ceremonies at 12:00 noon.
There will be a number of exhibits around the park including: St. James Cathedral History of the Park, Plans for renovations of the park, Toronto's First Post Office, St. Lawrence Market Neighbourhood BIA, Ontario Black History Society and more. Various activities involving Toronto Public Library, St. Lawrence Branch, Young People's Theatre, Charlies Freewheels, Jamii,Princess Park Childrens Play Garden, local schools and others including puppet show, face painting, arts & crafts and jenga. There will be live music and dancing throughout.
The free picnic menu includes delicious food from the vendors of the St. Lawrence Market, fresh fruit and cake..
