Building Resilience with Dr. Michael Ungar at UCC
Upper Canada College presents Building Resilience with Dr. Michael Ungar, one of the world’s leading authorities on resilience in children and adults. As part of the Casey Fellow Speaker Series, Dr. Ungar will speak on building resilience, grit and perseverance, and provide meaningful strategies on how to overcome adversity and cultivate a culture of wellbeing.
Dr. Michael Ungar is a Family Therapist, a Canada Research Chair, and a Professor of Social Work at Dalhousie University. His ground-breaking work as a family therapist and resilience researcher is recognized around the world.
Dr. Ungar is the founder and director of the Resilience Research Centre, and has focused his research on the resilience of children and families involved with child welfare and mental health services, refugee and immigrant youth populations and community resilience. Dr. Ungar has published over 180 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on the subject of resilience and is the author of 15 books for mental health professionals, researchers and lay audiences.
