Broken Images Play
The play is a psychological thriller that rips the mask off a celebrity, focused on the moving conflicts within us and the desire for fame.
The differences of ink, blood and language are obliterated in a babel of voice as a not so successful Indian language short story writer suddenly becomes wealthy and internationally famous by writing a best seller in English. The play progresses to a tight and stirring finish as the writer is questioned, without warning, by her own 'image' who decides to play confessor, psychologist, and inquisitor.
The show runs Aug 11 -20 at the Red SandCastle Theatre in Toronto.
