BOSS DANCE COMPANY PRESENTS: 'The Renaissance Woman'
Boss Dance Company's debut production 'The Renaissance Woman' is coming to the Factory Theatre on April 11th, 12th and 13th 2014!
This upcoming production will challenge gender hierarchy, social norms and entertainment industry pressure by using theoretical framework from the Renaissance era and drawing parallels to the world today.
We often hear about the Renaissance Man, however this show will explore the concept of a modern Renaissance Woman by presenting thought provoking, humanistic and artistic dance acts from a female perspective created to inspire the audience and break the mold.
The concept of Renaissance, or rebirth, will signify new beginnings for the company and recreate the generalized image of women in urban dance.
There will be 3 shows:
April 11th @ 8pm
April 12th @ 8pm
April 13th @ 2pm
All @ The Factory Theatre 125 Bathurst Street Toronto, Ontario
Tickets are $22 each and can be purchased at www.factorytheatre.ca. Once there, select 'book tickets' and choose the show from the calendar of events. Tickets can also be purchased through Leah Totten or any of the members of Boss Dance Company!
