BERNIE PITTERS
Born in England, raised in Jamaica, and based in Toronto since 1976, Bernie Pitters was a founding member of the Toronto roots-reggae group the Human Rights. Called The Godfather of the Canadian Reggae Scene by Reggae North, Mr Pitters toured internationally with Jamaican superstars Toots and the Maytals and worked alongside reggae greats such as Jackie Mittoo and Leroy Sibbles and was a Toronto Reggae Hall of Fame Inductee.
JAY DOUGLAS
A reggae legend in his own right, music producer, singer and band leader Jay Douglas is a 3-times Juno Awards nominee and also a Toronto Reggae Hall of Fame Inductee. He has performed extensvieley at festivals worldwide and worked with international reggae stars such as Beres Hammond, Freddie McGregor, Marcia Griffiths, Luciano, Ken Boothe, Leroy Sibbles, Fab5 Band, General Tree, Jesse “Dub Matix” King, Ziggy Marley, Lyn Tait and the great Ernest Ranglin.
