The Olympian beauties of Beethovens Violin Concerto find an ideal interpreter in Karen Gomyo, whos been praised in the Chicago Tribune as a first-rate artist of real musical command. Conductor Robert Trevino revels in the sparkling dances and vivid characters of Stravinskys Russian fairground ballet, Petrouchka.
Saturday's performance has no Intermission and is approximately 90 minutes; Sunday's running time is approximately two hours.
