From her early days as the bad-ass frontwoman of the all-female band The Runaways to her enduring hits with the Blackhearts, Joan Jett broke all the rules to become a rock & roll legend. Uncover her inspiring life and story from when she burst onto the burgeoning punk scene in the 1970s to becoming one of the first women to start her own record label. With appearances from her contemporaries and collaborators, including Debbie Harry and Billie Joe Armstrong, and incredible archival footage of past performances, director Kevin Kerslake doesn’t hold back in showing us just what it was like to be the first female punk rocker.
