Bad Dog Theatre's May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favour
In a future-Toronto, an oppressive regime has built a false utopia, and it falls to our young heroes to stand up to them and fight for a better way of life.
Inspired by the tropes of dystopian teen fiction (Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Divergent) as well as familiar haunts from present-day Toronto, this unscripted comedy teams a cast of intrepid teen improvisers with adult members of Bad Dog's professional company to fight for the future. Suggestions from the audience shape how our teen heroes imagine this future-Toronto, allowing them to populate this dystopia with original characters and lay the groundwork for an improvised coming-of-age story. Will our young hero fall in love at the ruins of the CN Tower? Will our heroine be able to fight off the rogue market gangs of Kensington? In each show, the cast will improvise a new battle against these oppressive forces to build a better future.
