Bad Ass Canucks, EH? is a tribute by emerging Canadian artists to the less obvious staples of Canadian pop culture and entertainment, ranging from books and films to music and television. Check out the exhibit on Canada Day or join the free opening reception on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 from 7-11p.m.
The things that inspired, spooked or made us laugh as kids and beyond, will be profiled in illustrated form, including the genius Canadian creators and creations: John Kricfalusi (creator of Ren and Stimpy), The Friendly Giant, The Littlest Hobo, Todd McFarlene/ his comic series Spawn, Ginger Snaps, Scott Pilgrim, Hobo with a shotgun, Cannibal Girls, Black Christmas, My bloody Valentine, Goon, Bret the Hitman Hart, SCTV, Red Green, The Kids in the Hall, Rush, Hard Core Logo, The Hilarious House of Frightenstein, David Cronenberg (and the films of David Cronenberg), Fubar, Bob and Doug Mackenzie (Strange Brew), The films of Astron-6, WolfCop, Rituals (aka The Creeper), Brett “The Hitman” Hart, and The Raccoons, among others.
