ArtworxTO, Toronto's Year of Public Art, 2021-2022
ArtworxTO: Toronto's Year of Public Art 2021–2022 is a year-long celebration of Toronto’s exceptional public art collection and the creative community behind it. It officially kicks off September 22 and runs for a year.
ArtworxTO includes new exhibitions at six Hubs across the city, plus pop-up exhibitions, outdoor public art, performances and events. These, and all ArtworxTO installations, are free and open to everyone.
ArtworxTO Hubs, opening today, are spaces for artistic and community activity led by the next generation of curators, collectives and artists. Through exhibitions, activations, workshops and experiences, the hubs will amplify local artistic identities, recognize their global vibrancy, and empower creative communities. The exhibitions at the Hubs will change throughout the year so there will always be something new to see.
One feature of ArtworxTO is that all of the city’s incredible range of public art is searchable on a single website: https://www.artworxto.ca/. You can even make a list of your favourites and share it with friends. Check out the website for information on hubs and exhibitions across the city, plus events and art maps.
