Anna Wiebe writes soft folk music straight from the heart. Her guitar work is delicate and comfortable, her melodies understated but with a depth of emotion. Since she was 17 she has been writing and performing with the likes of Swim Good, Merival, and LUM. She is one half of the duet Kildear, a member of the contemporary soul band Only Sundays, and has also been an active collaborator in the Toronto-based collective First Rate People. "New Behaviour" is her first full-length record, with features from Merival and guitarist Daniel Kruger, as well as from members of Fry Fry the Chicken Strip. With keen harmonic sensibilities and a quiet confidence, these are songs that will be echoing in your mind long after you first hear them. The record is to be released and debuted at Burdock on November 3.
