Buildings are responsible for at least 40 percent of total energy use in

most countries and are the main contributor to greenhouse gas emissions,

according to the United Nations Environment Programme. In Egypt, however,

several studies suggest that the building sector accounts for nearly 60

percent of total electricity consumption due to a growing population, high

rate of rural electrification, and increased use of electrical appliances.

Improving #EnergyEfficiency
