This Wednesday from 8pm till late, we’ll have our lights down and the music up to bring you Halo After Dark, a colourful new taproom experience. Featuring Omnivox, an interactive lighting cube by Quanta Collective, we invite you to join us for a beer and some rad art. Our bar will be running as usual, no entry fee.

✨ About the Art ✨

Omnivox is a lighting project that explores holograms and rendering in a three-dimensional space. Think of it as a custom-made screen, but with depth, that’s designed to be viewed from 360 degrees. The screen portion of the build consists of a grid of lights (aka voxels) that is 16 lights wide, 16 lights tall and 16 lights deep. Every one of our 4096 LEDs is fully addressable and hand soldered onto 16 custom-designed individual circuit boards.

What began as a simple idea at the beginning of the pandemic, turned into a robust, software heavy, passion project featuring a range of different sound reactive and interactive visualizations.
