African Fashion Week Toronto 2024

Join us for a celebration of arts, culture, fashion, style, achievements, and diversity at the twelfth edition of African Fashion Week Toronto (AFWT) from August 22nd to August 25th, 2024. Established by the African Fashion Canada Organization in 2012, AFWT has grown into the highest-attended mainstream platform for African fashion creatives and fashion lovers in Canada.

The official launch of #AFWT2024 will be kickstarted by a grand celebration of talent and innovation event “Student Design & Creative Festival - Industry Mixer” on Thursday, August 22nd at a new sumptuous venue, In LifeStyle, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, bringing together fashion, beauty, hair, and creative individuals from across Canada.

High Fashion Designer Showcases will take place on Friday, August 23rd, at Yonge Dundas Square (soon to be Sankofa Square). For the 3rd consecutive year, it will be transformed into a fashion and diversity celebration. The vendor experience in the square will begin at 3:00 pm, allowing local vendors to grow their business in the Toronto community. The long-awaited AFWT runway show will begin at 5:00 pm and feature more than 20 high fashion designers from Canada and abroad, showcasing their premium collections at the Square with free admission.

On Saturday, August 24th, AFWT is proud to welcome back the King of Couture, Adebayo Jones, and top local & International designers, for a one-of-a-kind Couture Experience at Wychwood Barns. Red Carpet for the Luxury Couture Experience will begin at 5:00 pm, and the couture show will start at 6:00 pm.

To wrap up #AFWT2024 on Sunday, August 25th, the organization will be hosting a Lookbook Day Party. This event is an opportunity to party fashionably with industry influencers while listening to the best in music, from Afrobeats and Amapiano to Dancehall, Hip-hop, and more. The party will take place at Spaces Toronto (Rooftop & Loft), 180 John St, with doors opening at 3:00 pm and the party starting at 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
