Abstract By Design
Abstract By Design features original, multi-media works by Ian Busher and Mark Gleberzon. Both artists have been working on various series exploring the free-form expressive, modular and rigid formats to be found within the abstract motif.
Born in Toronto, Ian Busher has been a patriotic artist his whole life. At age 13, he won a stamp design contest for the province of Ontario and met Lincoln Alexander. At age 17, he won a poster design contest for Canada Day and met Brian Mulroney and Queen Elizabeth on Parliament Hill in Ottawa on Canada Day.
At 19, Ian began studying at the Ontario College of Art, but was not able to finish. After spending many years as a licensed carpenter and builder, Ian returned to painting and mixed media designs and has been painting and showing his work for many years. Ian’s works are held in private and corporate collections around the world. Follow Ian on Instagram @studiobusher.
