A Rare Canadian Whisky Tasting at Montecito with Spencer Gooderham and Toronto Common
Toronto Common is partnering with Montecito to offer a Rare Canadian Whisky Tasting of the 2018 Northern Border Rare Range with Spencer Gooderham of the Gooderham family.
Our tasting guide, Spencer Gooderham’s family legacy in whisky dates back seven generations to William Gooderham, founder of what was once Canada’s largest distillery, based here in Toronto. Their family name can still be seen in Toronto’s historic distillery district today.
Spencer will be guiding us through 4 rare expressions from the Northern Border Rare Range, only available in select LCBOs.
Montecito a farm to table restaurant focused on local ingredients and showcasing the best of Canadian produce will be offering a selection of local charcuterie, cheeses + snakcs as well as a feature welcome cocktail with Lot 40.
Montecito Restaurant is a modern restaurant collaboration between Hollywood director Ivan Reitman and Toronto-based Innov8 Hospitality. The vision for Montecito has been from the beginning to create an environment that captivates a wide audience and brings them together in an exceptional space.
The restaurants’ Farm-To-Table inspired California cuisine menu changes weekly and highlights the very best in Canadian produce, meats, and seafood from both local purveyors as well as notable Canadian suppliers from coast to coast. Their bar features classic as well as craft cocktails using the finest in artisan spirits, mixers and seasonal fruits and vegetables.
