A Historical Walk Through Greektown on the Danforth

The Danforth is the heart of the Greek community in Toronto. Aside from the Greek eateries, businesses, parades and festivals, there’s a deeper story to be told about how the immigrant experience unfolded on these streets. This historical walk will visit many key locations, telling the story of why so many Greek immigrants settled on the Danforth in the postwar years and how the community – and the Danforth itself – evolved. Come learn about the major events that have taken place in Greektown over the years.

The tour crosses Greektown on the Danforth, beginning on the south side of Pape Subway Station and ending at the Bloor Street Viaduct at Broadview.

PLEASE NOTE: The Sunday morning tour will be in Greek.
