Lifted By Purpose (LBP) is excited to present our fourth Annual Tattoo Stories photo and storytelling exhibit: Beyond The Ink at Artscape Sandbox (301 Adelaide St. W).

Sixteen Tattoo Stories participants, Four photographer perspectives, and all happening in one exhibit. This year, come out and hear three dynamic Keynote speakers, including TEDx talk speaker Jordan Goldlist, Raptors Courtside Reporter Akil Augustine and a surprise guest Tattoo Artist. The music will be played by 5x stylus DJ award winner Lissa Monet.

Tattoo Stories is an innovative way to address the way we look at mental health and wellness. Through photography & storytelling, Tattoo Stories takes a noninvasive approach to ignite a conversation about mental health and wellness.

The exhibit, held during Mental Illness Awareness Week, challenges societal stigma by using tattoos and the narratives associated with it, to increase empathy and validate the human experience
